Red Photo Challenge

The first part of the color coded challenge featured the color, Red. What better to kick off the class project than to feature, in my opinion, the most vibrant color of them all? These are my best 5 photos.

Golden Triangle Photography Challenge

Our latest photo challenge was the Golden Triangle. I have never done any photography of the sort, much less even heard of it, so actually taking these pictures was a bit of work. Even after leaving my neighborhood to find new subjects, taking the photos still proved to be a challenge. I ended up devoting a day to the challenge with the help of one of my friends. Out of 6+ hours, these 3 are the best produced.

What am I thankful for?

I am thankful for color, music, my dogs, and photography itself. However, I’d like to let one person stand out; Rose. Rose is a waitress at a japanese restaurant, Sushi Republic, near my house. It was one of the first places we went to when we moved to the neighborhood and she knows from all the years we’ve come that I specifically love this soda that they sell in the restaurant. Whenever my mom and I go, she gives me the soda free and when my mom goes without me, she makes sure to send one home with her. Its people like this that make a big difference with a small act and don’t get noticed. This thanksgiving, I am especially thankful for her.

Still Life – Class Project

Tuesday in photography, we half-destroyed a printer that broke down. Today, Thursday, we used the smashed printer and it’s broken off parts for still life photography. Still life photography is one of my favorite types of photography to do, so I was ecstatic. We spent the whole class period inside the studio photographing the broken parts of the printer and helping each other with our pictures. It brought every one a bit too close for comfort, but it was very fun. These photos are – in my belief – my best five.
